#32 - Hernan Cattaneo

Hernán Cattáneo was born in Buenos Aires, where he grew up listening to bands like Simply Red, Level 42, Depeche Mode and New Order while carefully studying Billboard magazine, the only source of information that was readily available at the time. In 1987, one of his friends visited Vinylmania in New York and returned with some vinyl records. After being inspired by this collection of Chicago house records, featuring artists such as Frankie Knuckles and Inner City, Hernan decided to become a DJ. This music played a role in the music he now plays. Hernán describes the music he plays as deep, progressive, funky and tribal house.

James Harcourt - Arachnofunk (Hernan Cattaneo & John Tonks Remix) - V

Hernan Cattaneo & John Tonks - Anime (Sequential Mix)

Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile - Sonification (Remix)

Hernan Cattaneo Soundexile - Pastida (Remix)

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Modflow (Remix) - V

Applescal - Describe the doc (Hernan Cattaneo & Martin Garcia remix)

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Butterfly Effect (Remix)

WOW I had a great time making this post, probably one of my favorites! One more to come later tonight to catch up from another long weekend in Miami without access to a computer...more music AND stories for you in the next post!

PEACE
Ville V
